I go through phases of music, like everything else in my life, where I became completely enamored by a particular artist and play their music–and only their music–until I move onto the next obsession. It usually rotates between Matty and Avasa Love, Michael Franti, Joni Mitchell, an occasional Justin Timberlake or Britney Spears (I think I’m giving away my age …) I’m currently (re-)obsessed with Raphael Saadiq. His music takes over my Spotify about two times a year. And it is that time, once again.
